"John Markestad is the real deal: Through his fascinating plots and fully-realized characters, John writes science-fiction books that even people who don’t usually read sci-fi can’t put down. I recommend all of his novels and short stories—anything John writes—highly!"

Late September 2018, and all is well. Well, things are chugging along in rural central Wisconsin. The local momma cat has popped out two litters in the last year so Judy is happy. The irrigation season is nearing the end and that makes me happy because it means I get more time to write, and do some woodworking.

We had a terrific day rock climbing yesterday and two days ago, fantastic weather and we all climbed reasonably well. Hard to beat that for a break in the routine.

I'm about half-way on Book Five, still no title that I've really taken to, but there's time for that. Carli-three has been getting into a bit of trouble, for a good cause, and there is some reason to hope that humanity won't become completely extinct. Gotta have friends.

A second novel, one that I wasn't expecting, has cropped up and I'm a few dozen pages into that. It's not part of the Waning Earthlight series so it will  be interesting to see where this goes. I certainly don't know, I'm just the guy at the keyboard relating the story as it's told in my head. I'm willing to let on that part of the story is situated at Puma Punku...you'll have to look that up to get more.

Apart from those two novels I'm back to taking Creative Writing at Boo-U for the fifth year. It is so much fun and it keeps the creative juices flowing. So far I've written three short stories for the class this semester. My goal is to keep going with the short stories as they occur to me until I have enough to put together a book. When that happens I'll put in here as a freebie to my followers. That's probably a year away so, until then I'll keep Indigo Billy free for those that want to check out my writing style and the Waning Earthlight universe.

That's about it for now, back to writing. Please feel free to contact me with questions, suggestions, confusions if you feel I've not explained something in one of the book adequately. I might as well nap the days away rather than write if no one is was interested...so, I'm waiting to hear from you.
