Humans learned quickly that the galaxy plays by some pretty harsh rules. There are threats in the darkness beyond what humans can conceive of, and some of them have their sights set on us. When humans become a commodity for sale or trade the only option is to fight back.

 After every person in her small colony town disappears, leaving only their clothes behind, Bailey begins a journey across known space to learn their fate and recover them. Hard lessons await her, not least of which is the lengths to which human obsession can drive someone. Bailey's options are few and her resources are limited. Can she outwit the entity that has taken her friends and family, or are they gone forever?
